Every Passport journey begins long before the first course is served.

Passport Prelude is an invitation to explore the wines, stories, and traditions of each destination through a guided tasting experience at The Wine Bar at Butter + Whisk. While our annual Passport Dinner Series remains an immersive culinary adventure, Prelude offers a different way to travel—one glass at a time.

Throughout the evening, you'll enjoy thoughtfully selected wines from the featured region as we explore the landscapes, grape varieties, winemaking traditions, and cultural stories that make each destination unforgettable. Along the way, you'll discover the inspiration behind our Passport menus and have the opportunity to purchase featured bottles to continue the journey at home.

Whether you're joining us for Passport, missed the opportunity to reserve a seat this year, or simply enjoy discovering exceptional wines from around the world, Passport Prelude is your invitation to travel with us.

Each Prelude includes:

  • A guided tasting of 5–6 wines from the featured destination
  • Stories of the region, vineyards, and winemaking traditions
  • Light accompaniments designed to complement the wines
  • An opportunity to purchase featured bottles following the tasting

About Our Workshops:
Our hands-on cooking workshops are fun, social experiences perfect for all skill levels—no previous cooking experience required! Guests must be 15 years or older to attend.

SINGLE ticket admits one guest to enjoy a guided wine tasting experience. Your ticket includes 5–6 curated wine pours, light regional grazing bites, and a guided exploration of the featured Passport destination's wines, vineyards, and traditions. Perfect for wine lovers, curious travelers, and anyone looking to experience the world one glass at a time.

Workshop Policies

  • All registrations are first-come, first-served.
  • Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • With at least 48 hours’ notice, a credit toward a future workshop may be offered.
  • Credits are issued at the discretion of Butter + Whisk, based on the ability to refill the vacated seat.
  • If a spot is successfully filled, a full credit may be issued; otherwise, a partial credit may be offered.
  • Credits are valid for future public workshops only and must be used toward a new reservation.
  • Outside food and drinks are not permitted in the workshop.
