Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ahhh chocolate chip cookies! Does it get any better than a warm, perfectly chewey, chocolatey, ooey gooey chocolate chip cookie? We think not!
Starting the weekend with one of my favorite treats! Ooey gooey chocolate chip cookies!
Does it get any better! If I’m honest, chocolate chip cookies are such a comfort food for me. Do you have one of those recipes or go to treats that just fills you with comfort and home!? Well chocolate chip cookies are just that for me.
They remind me of my grandmother. There’s just something about the smell that wafts through the house as they bake. It’s a sure fire way to get my family gathered in the kitchen too.
This recipe is simple, fast and easy – no chilling required. These can be whipped up and baked in about 20 minutes. No chilling required. Mix with or without you mixer too!
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F
- In microwave safe bowl melt butter (about 40 seconds). Butter should be completely melted but shouldn’t be hot.
Combine flour + baking soda + salt into a bowl and set aside.
In your mixer cream butter + sugars until light and fluffy, 3 to 5 minutes.
On lowest speed add eggs + add vanilla.
Slowly add flour + baking soda + salt, mixing until just combined. Don’t over mix.
With spatula add in chocolate chips.
With 1 inch scoops (2 tablespoons) add onto parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake for 7 – 9 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack before serving.
